Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive basketball experience for 5 to 10 year olds. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion - fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals. Season starts Thursday 6 May, 2021.

Little Lions & Junior Lions Basketball

Little & Junior Lions basketball development program teaches basic basketball fundamentals in a fun environment. Run by qualifies coaches, this structured program provides pathways into STARplex basketball competition teams or Central Districts Basketball Club. Junior Lions is a small private group session for older age groups 11-17 years old. You have the option to register for either training only or both training and games. Term 3 starts Thursday 22 July, 2021. Enrolments open 10th, 2021.

Open Women’s Basketball

Tuesday Morning

Games are conducted in a social basketball competition with players looking for fun and fitness. Games are played over two school terms (except school holidays). No points are recorded and an end of the fun day is held. New Season starts Tuesday 27 April, 2021.

Player Performance Pathways

Tuesdays. Season starts New Season starts Tuesday 27 April, 2021.

Elite 8 (Invitation Only) 60 minutes. 5.30-6.30pm. Court 3.
Precision and attention to detail stressed and pursed. Weekly clinics designed to improve player's skill level, develop confidence and execute consistently.

Lions Junior Academy (Invitation Only) 90 minutes. 5.30-7.00pm. Court 4.
Teaches advanced skills to emerging talent by certified coaches with the purpose of achieving in the future. Athlete skill level, physical fitness, total body strength, mental sharpness and technical abilities are honed.

Lions Senior Academy (Invitation Only) 90 minutes. 6.30-8.00pm. Court 4.
This is a high intensity training program to run parallel to an athlete's competitive schedule. High level input by athlete s is matched by detailed analysis by coaches on and off the court. We get things done in Lions Academies!

All players must wear appropriate and consistent uniforms with player numbers clearly visible. Similar shirts in different shades are not acceptable and penalties will apply. All teams must supply their own scorer. If a team fails to nominate a scorer, ten points will be awarded to the opposing team.
