Is there a minimum age to attend a class?

Participants must be 14 years old.

Is there discount available?

All new members are able to purchase a 5 for $50 starter pack. There will be no student discount/seniors discount/health rebate available. STARplex Fitness Centre members have access to an ongoing discounted pack pricing.

Are classes cheaper when you purchase them in a pack?

Yes, the best value for money is our 25 pack.

Why do I have to do an orientation class? What happens in the orientation class?

All participants are required to attend an Orientation Class prior to booking into any Reformer Workout Classes. At your orientation session (compulsory for new members, unless you have been regularly attending Reformer Pilates Classes elsewhere) you will get to know your equipment, become familiar with extra equipment and perform some of the beginner movements. This is your opportunity to get a feel for all of these elements of the machine.

How soon before a class must I cancel if unable to attend?

Class cancellations require a minimum notice period of 8 hours and can be done via the App. Non-attendance or cancellation within the 8 hours’ notice period will incur the full charge of a class.

Are 1 on 1 sessions available?

Yes, once you purchase via the app your trainer will contact you to book your sessions at a time that suits you, outside of the timetabled classes.

Can I use the Creche facilities?

Yes. It is a free service available to everyone participating in a program within STARplex. Places are limited and bookings are essential. See here for more details.

How do I book?

Via Pilates Studio at STARplex App, from Google Play or App Store. All pack prices and class times are displayed in our App. A limited number of spaces are available in each class and your attendance must be pre-booked utilising the App.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please bring a bottle of water. For hygiene reasons socks must be worn at all times during your workout. Grip socks are recommended and are available for purchase at STARplex Reception. A sweat towel is also required for hygiene reasons and is available for purchase at STARplex Reception and STARstore.

Do I need a Drs referral?

Prior to undertaking any form of exercise you should consult your doctor or other healthcare practitioner to ensure you are aware of any restrictions that may be appropriate for you.

Can pregnant women participate?

Yes, we offer 1 on 1 sessions which can be purchased via the app. Once you purchase via the app your trainer will contact you to book your sessions at a time that suits you, outside of the timetabled classes.

Can I suspend my pack?

STARplex Pilates Studio does not offer any refunds, transfers, suspensions or extensions. Every class pack purchased has a strict expiry date. If the classes for which the pack was purchased have not been utilised before the expiry dates, those classes will expire and no refund will be given for any unused classes. Current prices and expiry information can be found on the App.

Can I transfer my pack to a friend or family member?

Class packs are non-transferable between holders and may not be sold, gifted, shared or transferred to any person. The sale of a class pack is final. STARplex Pilates Studio does not offer any refunds, transfers, suspensions or extensions.
