Do you sell school shoes?
Yes we do. We sell a range of shoes from Footwear Plus. Who also come out to the shop for fitting days each term. These dates are promoted in the school newsletters. Footwear Plus prices vary according to requirements check out the latest Footwear Plus Flyer on the STARstore Services Page.
Are there specific sneakers the students must wear with their PE uniform?
No. The students can wear any sneaker.
Where does the braid for student leaders etc get put on the uniform?
Dresses
Bottom edge of plain braid to bottom edge of cuff.
Shirts
Top edge of embroidered (student leader/prefect/school captain) braid to top edge of the pocket.
Blazers
Plain braid 7cms up from edge of cuff (Student leaders)
Plain braid as above plus plain braid around the outer edge of blazer( prefects and school captains)
Embroidered and plain braid for pockets and cuffs sold by uniform shop.
School Captain and Prefect Blazers need to have the braid professionally sewn on to outer edge. This is a service we can provide, however we do require adequate time, the Christmas break provides this. If blazer is required pre Christmas break we can Express Post for a speedy return. The extra cost will be charged to the appropriate school.
Why are there such vast differences in same size garments?
Each manufacturer of uniform uses their own "standard" size. Unfortunately this "standard" size is not the same across all manufacturers. Therefore a size 6 in one garment may be a size 8 in another. Our staff are quite au fait with the differences and will be happy to help you sort out this ongoing dilemma.
How long will this shirt/pinafore/blazer etc fit my child?
Whilst we can give guidelines to parents on sizing we cannot accurately predict their growth.
When will you be getting second hand uniform in?
Second hand comes in throughout the year. Many people will bring it in when they come to purchase new uniform. So summer to winter term (end term 1 start of term 2), winter to summer term (end of term 3 start of term 4) and the summer holidays are the most popular times.
Why does it take so long to get second hand uniform out once it has been dropped off by the seller?
We receive an immense amount of second hand uniform. This uniform then has to be sorted through as only garments in very good condition are put out for re-sale. Each garment then has to be priced and tagged to the person whom we are selling it for. Details for each item are then put into the computer so that when the garment is sold the correct person will be paid for it. The garment is then ready to put out for sale.
