ELITE 8 Basketball and Netball

Thursdays during school terms
5.00pm-6.00pm
$125 per term
Elite 8 basketball and netball squads are advanced clinics that help players improve their abilities and prepare for entry to higher levels of basketball or netball. The squads consist of small groups of children aged between 10-12 years or 13-15 years or age. Sessions are conducted on Thursdays during school terms.

FINAL 4 and SUPER 6 Basketball

Thursday during school terms
Final 4 Basketball – 5.00pm-6.30pm $135 per term
Super 6 Basketball – 5.00pm-6.00pm $160 per term
Each program offers two levels with participants training weekly improve their athletics and fitness as well as basketball fundamentals and skills to a high level of competency. The aim is to prepare 8-13 years to a level the will progress them to the Junior Academy and the Elite level of basketball competition and squads. Commencing in term 2 these programs will be held on Thursdays.

Northern Region Sports Academy (NRSA) – Basketball

Tuesdays during school terms
Junior Academy – 5.40pm-7.30pm
Senior Academy – 6.00pm-8.00pm
$230 per term
The program aims to improve the sporting performance of young elite basketball players through expert coaching and equipment. The program identifies and develops pathways for both the individual and teams to achieve at the highest level possible, while enhancing the competition at a local and regional level.

The Northern Region Sports Alliance (NRSA) is an intense 12 month program which teaches advanced skills to elite junior basketball players preparing them for the technical, physical and mental demands of the game.

Academy athletes receive coaching from state and nationally recognised coaches. The individual training sessions focus on skill acquisition and the application of those skills in both competition and team training sessions.

The NRSA program incorporates not only on court specifics but is now using the latest training aids available to enhance athlete’s development. We have state of the art equipment to help with shooting, rebounding, ball handling, speed, jumping and dribbling.

Central District Lions Basketball Club (CDBC) Junior Development Program

Since 2013 STARplex has delivered junior coaching services for Central District Lions. The program is led by STARplex Courts Manager Ricky Simpson.
