Junior Development Program

Wanted...5-12 year olds for Thursday Junior Training Program

BADGE Junior Training Program

To encourage children to try different sports STARplex holds a junior development program, with the convenience of 4 different sports being taught at the same time. Netball, basketball, soccer and volleyball development programs are held every Thursday from 4.00 - 5.00pm for 5 - 12 year olds, during the school term.

Skills and drills are taught with the accent on having fun while learning how to play the game. Each child is assessed during the term to help with the development of the player's fundamentals and confidence to achieve certain standards and to gain awards to advance to higher levels.

ELITE 8 Basketball and Netball
Elite 8 Basketball and Netball squads are advanced clinics that help students to improve their ability and prepare them for entry into higher levels of basketball or netball.

The squads consist of small groups of children aged 10 - 12 years old and 13 - 15 years old which are run during the school term.

FINAL 4 & SUPER 6 Basketball

Commencing in Term 2 these programs will be held on Thursday. There will be 2 levels in each program and train weekly to help players improve their athletics, fitness and most of all their basketball fundamentals and skills to a level of competency and expert. The aim is to prepare 8-13 year old athletes to a level to progress to the Junior Academy and the Elite level of basketball competition and squads in South Australia.
