Kindergym
A program designed for children under 5 years old.
Recreational Gymnastics
A great program to have fun and meet new people, while finding out what gymnastics is all about. Skills learned include:
- Jumping & Landing
- Shapes
- Swinging
- Climbing
- Balance
- Co-ordination
Advanced Recreational Gymnastics
This class focuses more on technique to develop skills to the next level, whilst still allowing children to have fun and explore the gym.
Skills learned include:
- Saults (including progressions)
- Pullovers
- Back Hip Circles
- Roundoffs
- Handspring vaults
- Handstands
Competition Gymnastics
The children in these classes are selected by the coaches using a range of criteria including dedication, skill level and attitude. Children develop their strength, flexibility, and fitness, and learn aerial awareness as well as skills and routines from the Gymnastics SA State Level Program. STARplex hosts in-house competitions throughout the year, with children training 2 days per week eligible to compete in State-wide competitions. The program works on technique to ensure skills are developed correctly and safely. STARplex provides Women’s Gymnastics (WG) program for girls aged 5-18 years, and Men’s Gymnastics (MG) for boys aged 5-8 years.

Senior Competition (7-8 year olds)
Skills aquired include:
- GSA State Level 4-5 skills and routines
- roundoff flip
- handspring (floor)

- walkovers
- handsprings on vault
Competition (1 & 2 day)

- GSA State Level 3-7 skills and routines

Please remember ages provided are merely guidelines, children must progress through the levels at their own pace.
